Day 25 - Frame it boys.

I cannot believe the progress today. It's almost as if the guys wanted to see how much they could frame up in one day. I am grateful for their hard work. Don't forget we are still trying to get as much done as possible before boy #2 comes home at the end of September. We know we will not be finished, but we are trying to get past all of the really loud stuff before the baby. Speaking of loud stuff... we are really getting used to the sounds of construction as we are living on top of most of it. It's funny how you just get used to someone using a sledge hammer or nail gun right outside the window.

Vanessa and I visited the plumbing store today to pick out the claw foot tub and fixtures for the master bath and also the stall shower and fixtures for the downstairs bath. Vanessa sat in a few tubs and we are certain that the one we chose will be the center piece of our master bath. There was one sink faucet that Vanessa really loved and the owner of the store stated you have good taste that is one of our high end models. Of course if you know me I was cringing at the same time. Why do all of the really nice things cost 4 times as much as a standard choice. We moved on through picking out a few more things and then the lady said, oh look, we have you down for the faucet you liked. It turned out our designer was able to get us a great discount because of his relationship with the supplier. We were elated of course and the rest of the time was euphoric.

Oh, in case you wondered I realized today you can spend 7,000 on a stall shower that has a touch screen display which controls so many features I think they need a waterproof manual. I did like the mood lighting which would change colors along with the music. I am not kidding... Oh and there was a toilet there with so many features it makes using it seem like a trip to the spa.

In our 5 o'clock meeting we discussed adding a few hose bibs (faucets) outside and also getting a quote on the tile work for the shower (in case I chicken out).
