I had Friday off work to celebrate Independence Day. Dad and I worked along side the crew for most of the day. We relocated a 1 ton Air Conditioner/Heat pump that I installed to cool/heat the upstairs (converted attic) loft. The unit is a split system so we had to pump all of the gas into the compressor then disconnect and relocate both the line-set and the compressor. What this means is that we had to crawl around in the attic for a few hours and then repair (sweat copper) any kinks we had. We only had 2 repairs to make which is not bad considering we coiled up about 50 feet of copper through a wall into the attic and then back out the other side of the house. We then reconnected the lines and used a vacuum pump to remove the air from the lines. Once complete we opened the valves and everything worked great. Thanks Dad. No pictures yet, I was a little busy working.
I did not mention what the crew did today... First, I did notice a quick break in work right after I heard the ice cream truck... Also they built 5 picnic tables (in less than an hour) for their fourth of July bash the next day. Funny. I have some photos of the ice cream break I will post later.
