"Your house was 1 and 7/8ths of an inch out of level." That explains the cracks in the kitchen wall. I was expecting some collateral damage. Nothing that cannot be fixed with a little joint compound and paint. This 90 year old house was put back into shape today and permanent supports were installed. Finally we are level and secure. A whole lot of framing was completed today. Each room downstairs is now defined by stud walls and they are starting the osb sheeting on the outside walls. I believe the guys will soon move up to the second story. More demo when the second story begins. As expected this phase of the project seems like it is moving very quickly with major changes each day when I arrive home.
